I wish to take this opportunity to apprise the Ajeet Community of the challenges faced by the organisers of such meets and how we can help them.
The biggest challenge the organisers face is to guess the Number of people who are going to attend. Like all Ajeets, they wish to put on a very good show, but this uncertainty of attendance unnerves even the stoutest hearts. If they plan for 200 and 400 turn up, the Ajeets will think low of them. If they cater for 600 and 200 turn up ,there is a monumental waste of food and the organisers will have to foot the bill personally.
Let us remember that the organisers are doing us a favour by organising the meet. We do not do them a favour by attending it.We go there to meet our friends and renew contacts with seniors and juniors, to benefit ourselves in psychological terms and even in terms of multi faceted contact list. We therefore owe it to the organisers to tell them in advance if we are going to be there for the meet.
Personally , I feel 600 rupees for the experience is not a mindboggling amount, most of us would have wasted greater amounts on more sillier reasons. I think each one of us can contribute this amount whether we attend the meet or not. This recommendation is out of enlightened self interest. We want people to continue to come forward to organise this meet year after year. They will do so if they feel that the Alumni is supporting them.
So, can we support our Ajeets in Pune by, firstly paying 600 Rupees whether we attend or not and secondly registering for the meet if are going to be there, which I hope most of you will.

My Dear Ajeets,
Anil Hiremath has sent out the Formal Invitation to OBA Meet at Pune. All those Ajeets who are still sitting on the fence, and still deciding to go to Pune or not should take a positive decision and make it to Pune Meet.
OBA Meets are always a good platform to catch up with your batch mates, get to know the happenings around Bijapur and generally loosen up for a couple of days at the end of the year and recharge your batteries for the coming year. It is worth every bit.
Kindly make it convenient to travel to the venue and before that, try and register yourself on the website to enable the organisers to make this event a memorable one.
